VACA

So Mom, Nana and Aunt Kari had this grand idea for a “summer get away.” This is not at all uncommon for them; they are always taking the kids and going somewhere, especially for Spring Break, but I have never gone. I always stay and work! So when they talked about going I figured, “I’m basically unemployed, I might as well go!” Unfortunately Zach had to stay behind and work (several other people were on vacation and he couldn’t go). Someone told my Nana about New Buffalo, Michigan and how it was a great little place near the lake and had some great rentals, so they rented an awesome house [[with a broken refrigerator, but we made it work]], with a pool, a few miles from the beach and plenty of room for all of us!! J It was me, Eli, Mom, Payton, Morgan, Aunt Kari, Hannah, Nana, Danielle and Cameron….and Uncle Tom (who I also refer to as Jesus, because he is the favorite of all of the family members..hehehe) was ever so kind to grace us with his presence! We really had a nice time. We went to dinner the first night but grilled out and stayed in the rest of the time, and it was fun! J The best part was getting up and just going straight to the pool and not having to worry about people at a public or hotel pool, it was our own little private deal. Eli loooved the attention, as well as the pool. He isn’t a huge fan of the sun [[his poor light blue eyes make it too bright for him I think]], but he loved to splash and looooved to swim at night! His nasty rash resurfaced while we were there, but we figured out it was the wipes [[we bought a different kind to take on vacation…for whatever reason]] and we have been using the other wipes and it is completely gone, thank goodness!!! It was a wonderful time, with awesome, great memories.
And you know I took a gazillion pictures. So here are some…followed by Zach and Eli on the Quad. Zach only wishes I would let Eli be on it while it was NOT stationary. . .he’s got a while before I let my little man on anything like that while moving!!! :)
