Catching up

Yo! Like Eli said a couple of posts below life has been a bit busy…as usual! I got a new “real” job. I started yesterday and I think I will like it. It is going to be a lot of work, in and out of the classroom, but I think I can do it…let’s hope so right?! Ha! I am the teacher of the Kindergarten Enrichment class at the Goddard School in Fishers. I basically reinforce what they learn in Kindergarten. I only have a small group in the morning, they then head to their schools, and then I get a larger group in the afternoon. So I will keep you updated on how that is going. I did however LOATHE being away from Eli all day like I was. I wanted to cry every time I thought about it. He is in good hands…MWF (with my mom and Zachs grandma who eli ADORES!)…Tuesday and Thursdays we are still looking for someone (any takers…not even kidding)I am having HORRIBLE anxiety about it. I am tearing up while typing…ugh whatever.

ANYWAY, here are some pictures of Eli from the last couple weeks.

BEST friends :)

My Susie

Photobucket
me and susie at her surprise 70th birthday party, in 2007! :) She was the queeeen!

My Nana (my moms mom) has a group of friends who have called themselves the FIVE WHITE WOMEN...for years and years. They are all of my Nana's dearest friends, who have been just like Grandmothers to me. . .ALL OF THEM. They are so so wonderful, and would do anything for me if I needed. . .they don't forget birthdays/graduations/college days/having babies, etc. I can't describe how lucky I feel to have them all in my life.
Susie...who I must say the craziest [[I mean this in a wonderful way]] "white woman" of all, left this earth this morning at 2am. She passed of Lung Cancer, she has been sick for a while. She didn't want Chemo, she said if God was calling her now, she was going to just listen. She was such a wonderful woman! I loved her ooooh so dearly!
You NEVER knew what Susie was going to say, or when she was going to say it! That was my favorite part about her! I am sad that Eli will never get to enjoy her amazing sense of humor and hilarious outburts, but I can't wait to tell him stories! Susie, you will be missed sooooooo very much, but those up in heaven are oh, so lucky to share their days with such an amazingly, beautiful woman! :)

greetings from Eli

Dear Mommy's Blog Readers,
We have been so busy its not even funny...at least that's what my mommy says. We have been going to weddings, family functions, birthday parties, Dr. appts, the STATE FAIR (wow I went 3 times and loved it so much everytime, you should've gone!!), along with lots of other places!! My mom was helping my MiMi out by working at We B Tan today, so she was excited to have time away from me to blog....BUT she forgot her Memory card to her camera at home in our computer. So this is the only picture you get. She is terribly sorry, and very disappointed in herself. [[although it was partly my fault, because I was yelling at her about how much I hate my car seat, so we had to rush out the door!]]
Mommy also GOT A NEW JOB! She is going to be the Kindergarten Enrichment teacher at the Goddard School in Fishers! She is way excited, but keeps saying she is going to hyperventilate (whatever that means!) when she has to take me to daycare![[only Tuesdays and Thursdays, tho, I get to stay with my grandmas on the other days!]] She is nervous, but excited!! Hopefully she likes it! She says she will update you with details later, after she starts! :)

I think that is all for now! Just wanted to say we are alive, well and kickin! I go to the Dermatologist today for my rash face problem, but woke up with my face looking GREAT...of course! But mom says we still have to go to make sure we fix the problem permanately! Then after that we are going to go meet this babysitter lady and see if she is the perfect fit for me. . .my mommy is very picky. . .which I would imagine you all know! :)
I'm outttta here!!
Love Always,
Eliiii

funny noises

At Eli's 6 month appointment the Doctor noticed a weird sound in Eli's heart, that he referred to as a murmur. He said that it was basically an abnormal sound that made it sound like a "swishing" noise. He said it could've been caused by a weird defect or hole in his heart, or could be something more serious, but he wanted us to get it checked out.
So today we headed to the Childrens Heart Hospital @ St. Vincents. Eli was the perfect little boy [[and I was way freaking out about how he would act because yesterday he was the fussy little boy you have ever known in your life....I was looking for a hole to hide in.]]. They put some stickers all over his chest and hooked some weird hooky things onto the stickers and printed off the results from that, took his blood pressure on his leg [[weird]], and took his oxygen level on his toe [[memories of when he was in the NICU.]]. He was perfect. He just stared at the woman doing that. Then we headed into a dark room with an ultrasound machine and they popped in a Baby Einstein movie for him and did an ultrasound of his heart. He could've cared less about the movie, he was much more intersted in what the Dr. was doing do him. He watched the ultrasound screen the entire time. I wanted to take pictures or video of it for my blog and for his baby book, but didn't want the Dr to think I was a freak...so sorry for no pictures!
ANYWAYS. She took over 50 pictures of E's heart and said that everything is PERFECT. The noise is just that, a noise. She said that it is just the way his heart beats, and although he may grow out of it at adolesence, he may not ever grow out of it. So PHEW. Thank God for such news!!
Eli is growing everyday! He is so funny, and loves to be entertained....a bit spoiled I must add. I can't leave the room without him screaming. I had a slight breakdown about this on Sunday and my mom ONCE AGAIN came to the rescue. [[i'd die without you mom]] We missed her birthday, Saturday, because Zachs cousin got married (a few pictures to follow, in another blog)...so Sunday Eli and I met Pay, Mom, and Dad at Jim Dandy for lunch...then Mom took Eli for the ENTIRE day. Although we moved in with Zach 2 months ago, it was all a s l o w process. I still have boxes of crap at my parents house, in their garage (we had to clean the condo out b/c its for sale). Eli's room was like a storage room..but we finally got his crib up and he is sleeping in there, but it was like tip-toeing around everything because there was crap everywhere!!! I was so overwhelmed, I couldn't get anything done. So mom was so awesome and offered to take him for the rest of the day so I could get it all done...and I'm proud to say I DID!!!!! Eli's room is completely done! It is so freaking adorable too :) I will take pictures and post them soon...along with Zachs cousins wedding pictures...none of which I'm in! haha!
Back to Eli growing..sorry. He is 17.5lbs, 26.5 inches long....and in the 30% of everything...as if you thought he was going to be 7 feet tall...lets be real, please. hahaha! He REFUSES to sit up on his own, and becomes an "ironing board" when you try to make him sit up. . .absolutely stiff. He is army crawling like it is his job, and sometimes gets up on all fours and crawls backwards. He loves to laugh and is sooo ticklish! The rash we are still dealing with, but its getting better as we are weeding out certain possibilities of what could be causing it.
But for the most part, he is perfect. Life is good. Overwhelming at times, but good. I dont know how my mom did this, and I don't have ANY clue how single mothers do it. I want to go crazy sometimes, but I am so thankful for my little "rash face." He brings more joy to me than I ever thought possible.

@ Old Navy with the new hat I bought him, and Pooh of course!

on vacation in the swing!

[[YOUR Indiana State Fair]]

Payton had a concert with her friends at the Fair, so Mom and Dad took her and Zach, Eli and I decided to meet them there...then Steph and Carter joined us!! :) yaaaay for family day! :) Here are the few pictures I took before, and at the fair. Eli loved it and was literally PERFECT the entire time we were there. Zach is taking him back tomorrow with his parents while I am at the beloved we B tan.

As we did for the County Fair, we had to break out the John Deere shirt for the State Fair :) It's only fitting!! This was at the house before we left. This was ALSO just hours after his 6 month shots. I didn't know how he would act, so we played the idea of going to the fair, by ear, and he was the happiest kid ever. He cried a little bit while she was doing the shots, but after I picked him up, he was perfectly fine, and happy. I am so thankful for this little boy. He weighed 17.5lbs and was 26 inches long. He is in the 30% in his height and 40% in his weight. He's a little guy :)
